MPAs - A Problem Not a Solution

Australia possesses the world's largest per capita marine area, with extensive coastal waters largely untouched by human activity. Despite this, we have an abundance of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), importing 70% of our seafood, adding $1.8 billion annually to our growing foreign debt. MPAs, expanding unchecked, lack environmental benefit and disregard guidelines for good regulation. Mismanagement, driven by ill-informed ideology, burdens our economy and quality of life, necessitating demand for change from voters.
