In a world facing serious economic difficulties, bloated unaccountable bureaucracies addressing non-problems are a luxury we can no longer afford. It is time for the electorate and the Parliament to start demanding answers and pruning the rot.
In the lead up to the last election, Kevin Rudd said that, if elected, he would, '... take a meat axe to the bureaucracy. ' This is a good place to start.
